After routing the wiring and driver into the suggested location, I placed the lamp into the mount and replaced the cover. Perhaps a mention of this in the instructions would alert the installer of this potential circumstance. Even though one side has a narrower shoulder than the other, it is still possible to place it incorrectly. Then it finally occurred to me that I had placed the adapter ring into the housing backward. I then spent about 20 minutes trying to seat the led lamp into the adapter mount with no luck.
